Audiobooks

I have been building a small collection of audiobooks on cassette. Its an interesting format - as audio fidelity is less important for spoken word as opposed to music, there isn't much lost in the use of tape for the sound as opposed to a digital format, and they allow for some neat packaging and presentation opportunities - they have similar aspect ratio to a physical book and can fit quite happily on a shelf along with them. Apart from this, the varying publishers that audiobooks come from are fascinating - some are simply a branch of regular book publishers, while others are a subdivision of radio or broader media corporations.
